The dictionary defines the term “doctrine” as “a principle or position or the body principles in a branch of knowledge or system of belief.” [Webster's Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary, p. 246.]

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe the doctrines of their Church are set forth, primarily, within the Church’s four volumes of scripture, when subjects are set forth and clarified in broad scriptural patterns.

In this website, the writings of numerous well-qualified authors are presented. They provide valuable insights and commentaries on a wide spectrum of doctrines and core beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ. It should be understood, of course, that these books and tapes are not “official” statements of LDS doctrine.  They have been privately written and published. They have not been reviewed, edited nor published by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints per se.
